Make redirect similar to https://redirect.invidious.io/ and https://invidio.us/ in Invidio.us which will allow user to select Nitter instance that (s)he wants to use to view something. You can for example link it on website after clicking Twitter/X button user choses to open link in Twitter/X or in Nitter and Nitter one will redirect to this site.

You can go to my repo, i made userscript for that. when you click twitter/x link it will direct to nitter.net. in case there's an error, it will be direct to xcancel.com

This can be done within uBlock Origin. Simply add these two lines to My filters in the uBO settings:

||twitter.com$uritransform=/^https:\/\/.+?\//https:\/\/nitter.miningtcup.me\//

Replace nitter.miningtcup.me with your preferred instance, of course.

This could be true, but it's also beneficial not to install more extensions than absolutely necessary to keep attack surface down. On the other hand, $uritransform is listed by uBO as

Candidate for deprecation, avoid usage. To be further discussed.

So libredirect may be required in the future.
