I’m trying to view older tweets from an account, but whenever I get to around 860 tweets (43 pages), the following screen appears and I can’t see any more tweets.

I’m not sure if this behavior is intended.

For context, I’m using the nitter.net instance.

This is a limitation on Twitter with timelines, max is ~3200(?) but you'll most likely hit that limit well before, for various reasons. The best method is to use search for older tweets, ex: from:username until:2022-01-01, (or whatever date you were limited at.) You won't see retweets greater than 10-days-old via search but everything else should be fetched.
