Like video proxying, image proxying can slow down pages quite a bit. An option to disable it would be good for these cases, there's currently one for videos (proxyVideos). After all, every file in the https://pbs.twimg.com/media/ path has the access-control-allow-origin: * header, so as long as you toggle ETP off on Nitter domains, it works as expected.
