Delete branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Every instance has the same
Instance has been rate limited.error.This shit every fucking day. Really tired of X being a fuckup site
We have received cease and desist letters. Awaiting legal advice at the moment, but for now expect all nitter instances to remain down for the foreseeable future.
Damn. I hope you can continue your work on Nitter. It’s the only thing we have
You've gotta be kidding me. Unfortunately everyone still uses the Nazi app so this is actually a big problem.
Sucks to hear!
""X"" is shit, and I will never ever make an account. I will only lurk occasionally.
My instance still works and self-hosting should still work.
@MiningTcup what is your instance, or is this one of those things where its actually bad to share lol
do you do some kind of residential proxy rotation?
Anywhere we can donate to a legal fund?
Zed can chime in but we are paying it out of poast funds right now

Ideally Twitter would shut down entirely so that people would be forced to move to platforms not owned by the Muskrat. This is the only way I can see Twitter actually losing its dominance at this point.
@conartist6 see the Donations section of the readme, or contact me via email at zedeus@pm.me
I wonder if a recent clampdown on anonymous (no account) browsing and numerous recent reports of "confirm you're a human" to those using Linux, Firefox and other privacy preserving tech which requires mandatory
doxingID verification is related to this clampdown on privacy by X?Might be related to X requiring everyone to be human and ID verified to view X which has spurred this cease and desist. And what is worse, many companies do their customer service contacts and service updates exclusively via X so if anonymous people are locked out of viewing, they're effectively stuffed in the event of an incident.
Hopefully privacy and tech channels online will pick up on this story (I'd advise everyone to contact them) and make it go viral.
very cool, so we are locked out of our twitter accounts by elon unless we give him our biometrics and now we cant even view the site using a third party. the future of the internet is bleak man.
I've already contacted Ars Technica about this. Hopefully they actually see it.
Seriously. Fuck all Nazis
Would it be wise to change the HTTP status codes of the Nitter instances from 200 to 451 - Unavailable for Legal Reasons, as it would seem apt for this issue and be technically correct?
Xcancel.com is still functionnal but don't know if it is going to last
Let’s hope it doesn’t get taken down. If Nitter dies, we’re fucked
damn can't they just let people lurk in peace ffs.
Not by one bit, I’m afraid
@zedeus
You can’t let the Nazi win. Please, without Nitter, we’re nothing
Everyone I don't like is a nazi
zedeus was forced to delete the repo
For now, I hope
x corp forced zedeus to delete it
Standby
@swyxio [thing].miningtcup.me. I use my own residential IP address, I don't believe that X has much IP rate-limiting. (I may get rate-limited after posting this here, beware.)
Something which hasn't been mentioned here: XCancel (and other public instances) also received a cease and desist, but I don't believe XCancel is in the U.S., so it might be more resilient.
Thanks all developers and instance hosts, I fucking screamed when I saw the notice. You were all doing great work, good luck with whatever happens in the future.
